Hi, I'm Laura, the one woman band behind TaylorMaid Vintage. My journey began in 2021 following the loss of my beautiful Mum. I decided I needed a career change and bought myself a sewing machine; my mum made dresses in her day but me? In all honesty, I had no idea how to sew.

So off I went. I still remember my first dress I made. I actually shocked myself that at the age of 33 I had finally found something I was good at. Mum and I would thrift at every opportunity when I was growing up and we have both shared our love of unique style throughout all of our time together so sourcing and selling vintage was a no brainer. I was also driven by love of sustainability so to be able to combine the two passions and be able to create something unique that would have otherwise ended up in landfill fills me with so much joy. Here's hoping you all love the outcome as much as I do.
